ARGO a new version: v2
13 new modules, 25 updated modules.
ARGO v2 MacOSX UB is optimized for Mac PowerPC and MacIntel because it works with the "Universal Binary" version of Max/MSP.

Good music

Best,
Gerard

Thank you for your comments. Thank you for your site.

There are 3 versions of the ARGO modules: MacOS9 MacOSX and WindowsXP
The 3 versions require Max/MSP runtime.
WindowsXP version is there:
http://perso.orange.fr/Paresys/ARGO/ARGOWinXP.html

There is only 1 standalone for only MacOSX: "ARGO Appli Fluidsynth"

ARGO works well with the free version of Max: "MaxMSP Runtime"
This version does not have any limit of duration, of quality, it makes it possible to record Audio and MIDI files.
The registered version of MaxMSP does not only allow you to build new modules ("patches", "collectives" and "standalones") but also to save the adjustments ("Preset") of ARGO modules and their position in the screen.
This registered version is necessary to build and save the "Ex".

Hi--- I was wondering if Argo will run standalone in Max/MSP runtime, or must you have a registered version?

I'm on the lookout for cool standalone MSP stuff--- found a few cool ones for Mac's that I passed on to my Mac head bandmate. I'm running a PC--- lots of great freeware out there, but haven't yet found any standalone Max/MSP stuff for windows. Any ideas?

There is a great assortment of modules here and it seems quite easy to jump in and start linking them together to make sound, especially after looking at an example or two. What I found especially exciting about ARGO is that several of the modules have support for the Wacom tablet, including one module that specifically sends pen pressure and eraser pressure values to output.
