Max/MSP Standalone application, a funky granular sample player.

crackle~ is a piece of audio-freeware for granular synthesis. It uses a soundfile as input (usable formats *.aiff, *.wav and *.au). The software is set up fairly simple. The soundfile is displayed in a fullscreen window. On top of the waveform several parametres are available to adjust. Grain size, grain speed but also variables like random start and end points can be set.

Can also be used for timestretch/pitchshift. Uses just one groove object to play fragments of a sample…
