It is an MPEG-1/2 Audio Layer 3 smasher shell script. That means the script will create a single MP3 file out of mini-chunks of all MP3 files in your hard drive(s). It looks for MP3 files, copies a tiny bit of every one it finds on its way and appends them all together in a single file.

Foofoofoo is another step in ALKU’s neverending adventure in data transformation. The script actually treats MP3 audio as text, so it’s pretty simple to perform some sed command to copy the chunks from the original files to the resulting foofoofoo track.
