This is the “monolake_ableton_meta_sound_creator”

A tool for the creation of static additive synthesis data for Abletons Sampler/Simpler. This is a Max patch and needs Max or Max Runtime in order to work.

It contains a graphical interface for drawing 96 partials.
It contains 96 sine wave generators to make the sound audible
and a keyboard to play one voice of the sound.
But the main part is the capability to write one single note
or the whole musical note range as file(s).
These files, the .ams files contain no audio but some kind of meta data.
The data can be read by Ableton Live 6 in the instruments Sampler and Simpler
to create a looping addtive synthesis waveform.

If you only create a single file, transposing will lead to aliasing distortion. The mans generator allows to create a multisample where the upper notes have reduced higher partials, and will not create aliasing.
