The Tactile12000X is the OS X version of the Tactile12000. The Tactile12000 puts a full set of DJ gear on your desktop – it is a 3-D, fully interactive, digital DJ setup – two turntables and a mixer.
You can crossfade, backspin, and speed up and slow down music, including MP3 files, on your computer. Version 2.0 was featured in Ray Gun magazine and Print Magazine’s Interaction Design 2000.
It supports for loading music from your hard drive, playlist management and automatic mixing, cueing on headphones, keyboard control, and more precise control of the mixer and turntables. Version 2.1 adds support for PCs with multiple sound cards, fixes many bugs, and is both free and open-source.
